After graduating from high school and studying abroad in Japan, I started my journey in higher education. Working through my undergraduate degree as a bartender and server was rewarding and allowed me to learn skills crucial to my continuing academic and professional experience.
At the University of Nevada, Reno, I studied neuroscience with professors conducting research ranging from perception to CTE. I became especially interested in trauma-informed care and collegiate recovery, taking part in SAFE Project's 2021-2022 Collegiate Recovery Leadership Academy.
After graduating with my BS in Neuroscience, I decided to continue my education through the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver, focusing on Mental Health and Trauma. I began my internship with LifeWorks NW in the summer of 2023.
